Questions

What it does with your text, what it refuses to write, and what it cannot do yet.

Using it

What do I need before I start?

A piece of text about one project, and permission to use it. That can be a client testimonial, a results report or a summary you wrote yourself. Anything with specifics in it works better than anything with adjectives in it.

You can test whether your text has enough in it in the checker, before you give us anything.

What file types can I upload?

Plain text and Markdown, as .txt or .md, by dropping the file on the box or choosing it. PDF and Word files are not read yet: copy the text out and paste it in. Nothing is lost by doing that, since only the words matter.

How long does a draft take?

Usually under a minute. You get a private link by email when it is ready, so you do not have to sit and wait for it.

How often should I use it?

Once per finished project is the habit worth having, at handover, while the numbers are still at hand. The worth page sets out the cadence and what it costs you not to.

Do I lose my work if I close the tab?

No. What you type into the form is kept in your own browser until you submit it, and put back when you return. You can clear it from the form at any time. It is not sent anywhere until you press the button.

What it will and will not write

What happens to a statement it cannot support?

It is dropped from the draft and listed separately, with the reason. You see exactly what was proposed and refused, which is usually the most useful part of the output.

Does it check that my statement is a fair reading of the sentence?

No, and it is worth being clear about the limit. It checks provenance: that the sentence exists in your source word for word, and that every number in the statement appears in that sentence. It does not judge whether your statement is a reasonable interpretation of it.

That judgement is yours, which is why you approve the draft by name rather than us publishing it for you. What the check does guarantee is that you can always see the sentence a statement rests on, next to the statement itself.

Can it make my results sound better?

No, and that is the product. It cannot invent numbers, quotes, testimonials or results, it refuses guarantees and urgency outright, and it will not promise outcomes for your business. If your source does not support a claim, no wording will get it through.

My client asked me not to mention something. Is that enforced?

Not automatically, and we say so where you enter it. We show what you told us back to you on the review page so you read the draft with it in mind. The judgement stays with you, because only you know what was meant.

Who approves it?

You do, by name, on the review page. Nothing can be exported before that. If the draft changes after approval, the download stops working until it is approved again.

Your material

Who owns the draft?

You do. It is built from your material, about your work. We do not publish it, we do not contact your client, and we do not use it as a reference.

Who can see my review link?

Anyone holding it: the link works as a password, so do not forward it. It is stored only as a hash, and the page is kept out of search engines.

What do you store, and can I have it deleted?

The privacy page lists everything. To have a submission deleted, reply to the email we sent you.

The pilot

What does it cost?

Nothing, while we learn what is useful. The form asks what a Proof Pack like this would be worth to you, which is how the price will get set later.

What does it not do yet?

No accounts, PDF or Word parsing, publishing, interviews, team features or dashboards. Source intake does not parse PDF or Word files yet. Delivery is a ZIP with an editable Markdown pack, a one-page PDF brief and a three-slide PowerPoint deck. It handles one project at a time by email.

Still unsure

The checker runs the deciding part of this on your own text, in your browser, without giving us anything.
